Universal Autofill stopped working on macOS

Hello,

Universal Autofill has stopped working on my MacBook. When I enter ⌘+\, Quick Access comes up, but then when I select an entry it doesn't actually fill the username and password.

This appears to be the case no mater which app I'm using it with, including system dialogs for admin password. The problem is happening across all browsers, apps and even iTerm.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Hello @zcutlip and @bmyers! 👋

I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't filling your login credentials. This is a known issue with the latest beta version of the 1Password for Mac app and our development team is investigating.

For the time being, switching to the production version is the best workaround: To stop using the beta

I think I had the same issue. I have two Macs, one was working, one wasn't. After a lot of troubleshooting, I started comparing the two. I found the troublesome machine was running a beta version of  1Password, the other was running a production version. I reverted to the production version on the troublesome machine and universal autofill began working the way I expected. To check, look in 1Password settings under About.  Hope that helps.

Thanks @1P_Dave and @bmyers

The beta was indeed the problem. I'd forgotten I'd got on the beta release channel.

Things working right as rain now.

Hi @Crazychicken563,

I'm sorry 1Password isn't working as it should! If you update to 1Password 8.11.16 (the current version, as of this writing), do you still see the issue? Are there particular apps you're seeing this in?

Huh, seems to work on latest version.

I didn't realize I was out of date - there was no "check for updates" button in the about page in settings. Now that I manually downloaded and installed the latest version, the about page in settings has a check for updates button. Hopefully it'll stay up to date from here on out.

Ty!
