Hi @Jpap, thanks for reporting this! This definitely isn’t a genuine email from us. You can check which domains 1Password uses to send emails here: 1Password email and marketing domains

If you still have the email, or if you receive any further suspicious emails, please forward them to abuse@1password.com if you’re able to, so we can investigate.

Sounds like a phishing scam/attempt to me.  Delete the email and do not click on any links.

Thanks I did delete it. But it was really official looking. I tried forwarding it to [removed by moderator] but the Apple iCloud server bounced it back to me. It came from address: [removed by moderator]

I’ve tried to forward this to abuse@1password but the Apple iCloud email service rejects it and bounces it back to me. Maybe you can figure out why this is being rejected. This is some of the error message that get back:

Hi @Jpap, thanks for sharing these details! The rejection appears to be happening on Apple's end - they may be detecting it as a phishing email and trying to prevent it from being spread, though we can't say for certain.

The good news is that this phishing email has already been reported and actioned by our security team, so you're all set to go ahead and delete it.
