URL in notes field is incorrect

Question

I have pasted a URL into the notes field. The entire URL is shown, but only part of it is used to form the clickable URL.

In edit mode it appears correctly (as text, not a link):

Details: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wm_-t6PF6V3XfnCxTYfTAQWUdy[REDACTED]

In view mode the text https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wm is the blue, underlined, clickable portion while _-t6PF6V3XfnCxTYfTAQWUdy[REDACTED] is not clickable. The clickable portion only includes the first part of the URL (therefore, incomplete/bad link).

It appears that in the notes field the portion of URL text beginning with an underscore is ignored when forming the URL.

Hello @1Quest! 👋I'm sorry that links are being broken in certain cases, our developers have a work item open to investigate this further and work on a fix. When that fix becomes available, you'll see it noted in oure release notes: Release NotesFor the time being, if you bracket the URL using < > that will allow it to be clicked on. Using something similar to your example: The rendered link doesn't look very clean but I wanted to share the option in case it helps. Hopefully a permanent fix is available in the future. -Dave#12645
