Using an external HD on an iMac

I’m now with an iMac and use 1Password for Mac. ( Not from the AppStore)
Need to use an external HD instead of the present internal Fusion Drive HD.
How to use 1Password on the new external HD ?
Thanks

Hello @ronen! 👋

Thanks for the question. Can you tell me a little more about what you're trying to do? On which drive is macOS currently installed, the internal drive or the external drive?

1Password itself must be installed in the /Applications folder of the drive that the currently running version of macOS is installed on.

Hi.
Thanks for your reply.
I am now with an iMac with internal Fusion Drive.
( late 2019 21.5” iMac model)
The internal HD is with symptoms of failure.
So I want to replace this internal HD with a new External SSD Drive.
I will transfer all my files from the present HD to the new SSD drive.
Also all my Apps.
1Password is one of many Apps to be installed in the new SSD.

@ronen

Thank you for the reply. If you're using 1Password 8 with a membership then all of your items are backed up to your account on 1Password.com. You can confirm this by logging in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app).

Once you've installed macOS on the new drive then you can install 1Password on the new drive from our website: Download 1Password for Mac

Use your Emergency Kit to add your account to the 1Password app on the new drive.

Let me know if you have any questions.
