Using Keyboard Shortcut in Safari

Question

In Safari/Settings/Extensions, current "1Password for Safari" is enabled, and "1Password (v7.9.11)" is listed but not enabled.

1P desktop app is configured with a shortcut to Fill Login/Show 1P. When I use that shortcut in Safari, it tries to activate the non-enabled 1P extension (v.7.9.11). It's a mess.

I'm guessing you'll advise me to delete the latter, but, in any event, can I make the shortcut work with the current Safari Extension, or do you want us to use the mouse to open/activate 1P on web forms?

Hi @Jimmbo, thanks for reaching out!Using the Command-Backslash (\) autofill shortcut with the 1Password 7 desktop app will result in a message to activate the old 1Password Safari extension since it's packaged with 1Password 7. Since 1Password 7 is no longer supported, I'd recommend upgrading to 1Password 8:Upgrade to 1Password 8The 1Password for Mac desktop app (version 8) will give you the option to continue using the Command-Backslash (\) keyboard shortcut to engage Universal Autofill to fill in your apps and browsers when using 1Password for Mac. If you're using the 1Password for Safari extension on its own, you can click the suggested login item when the extension is unlocked in your browser to autofill.
