VPN Security Enquiry

Hello,
Is it safe to use 1password to autofill login details and enter card numbers etc while I'm connected to a VPN? I know everything goes through the VPN servers and I am sceptical about using a VPN while performing sensitive tasks with 1Password for security reasons.

Hello @TOWS,

Thanks for your message.

Since it sounds as though you are referring to filling your data with 1Password in the browser, I've include some guides to help explain security within 1Password and the browser extension:
* About the security of 1Password in your browser
* About the 1Password security model

I've included an additional blog we've posted regarding VPNs:
* How Does a VPN Work?

I hope this is information is helpful, but please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for all the links. However, having already read that very useful information previously to asking for help here, none of that information (as far as I could see) stated;

“It’s perfectly safe to use 1password to autofill data on websites including bank card details while using a VPN”

SO my question still stands, is it safe? A yes or no answer would be nice!

Hey @TOWS, yes - it's safe to use 1Password while using a VPN. It would be no different than manually entering that data with a VPN on.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
