Question

Watchtower didn't find any login items with Passkey/2fa

Hi everybody.
I know this issue has been discussed in https://1password.community/discussion/140582/question-about-passkeys-and-watchtower but I can't find a way to get it working. On iOS, I have a filter with several items under "Passkeys available" and "Two-factor authentication", but on my Mac it doesn't show anything. Can you help me?

Hello @burri44! 👋

I'm sorry that you're not seeing Watchtower flag items that have either passkeys or two-factor authentication available. As a first step, I'd like you to make sure that these features are enabled for 1Password on your Mac:

  1. Open and unlock the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
  2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Privacy.
  5. Make sure that "Check for passkeys" and "Check for two-factor authentication" are both enabled.

Then close the settings window, make sure that your entire account is selected in the account/collection picker in the top left corner of the 1Password window, and click on Watchtower. Scroll down, do you see the categories now?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dave, thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, I still don't see 2fa/passkeys in watchtower.

Best,
Nicola

Nevermind, after the new nightly update, I see the categories now. Thanks though :-)

@burri44

I'm happy that you're able to see those categories in Watchtower now. 🙂
