Watchtower isn't showing duplicates

@1P_Gem yes I have this issue. There is no entry on the Watchtower screen allowing me to see a list of items with duplicate passwords.

But showing notifications does show them but only for one screen and I now can’t even find that one screen.

How do I find items with the same password?

I see your documentation has a reused passwords area on the mac screen

https://support.1password.com/watchtower/?mac

But I do not have that - I have had it the past.

How do I get it back?

Hi @bestlem! To confirm, do you definitely have any reused passwords? This section will only be visible in Watchtower when some are present. If you’re not sure, you could create a couple of test items with the same password to see if the section appears. Note that if these items are exact duplicates in every other way, as well as the password field, they’ll be flagged as being duplicates instead of as items with reused passwords.

It’s also worth making sure that you’re looking at the correct view - for example if you currently have a collection selected in the app, you’ll only see Watchtower suggestions for items within that collection, not your account as a whole.

If you’re still not seeing reused passwords in Watchtower after this, and you’ve confirmed that you do have some, I’d like to ask you to email in to support@1password.com with a link to this thread, your forum username, and a short description of the issue, so our team can investigate further.

    Yes I do have duplicates.

Even if I did not it would be much better to show the Duplicate passwords in Watchtower showing 0. This is true for all the checks that watchtower does so people can see what checks are done.

It looks like at least some of them I have deliberatly ignored. But NOT all.

The default size of the 1password window hides the Show Ignored Alerts button - it has taken me a day to know and find that there is that button - it should be at the top - it is much more important than the graphic showing Overall Password strength

    @bestlem

Thank you for the reply. It sounds like some of your duplicates aren’t being flagged by Watchtower because you’ve ignored them in the past, I’ve passed along your feedback regarding the discoverability of the Show Ignored Alerts button to our team internally.

If you restore the ignored alerts, do you see the duplicates that you expect in Watchtower? If you don’t then are the duplicate items that you’re expecting to see:

    1. In the same vault.
    2. Exact duplicates with absolutely no differences in either item?

Yes if I restore I see that they are marked as duplicates.

However they do not tell me what they are a duplicated of which would be useful information. I found these duplicates when exporting into Apple Passwords and that tells you what sites they are duplicated on.
