Watchtower search Function

Thanks for the question! You can search for a specific item in the search field at the top of the app or 1Password.com:

Once you click on an item in the search results, any flags from Watchtower will appear as a banner at the top of the item:

If I misunderstood your question then can you tell me a little more about what you're trying to do?

Thank you for your answer. I would like to have a function in which you could click on “reused passwords” in the Watchtower and then search for a specific customer of ours in this view. If I search for a customer in general, I would have to click through each entry to find the “reused passwords”. This takes a lot of time, especially for customers with many entries.

Thanks for the reply. Do you store logins in vaults that are dedicated to an individual customer? If you do then you can create a collection for that customer that only includes their vaults. Once you've selected that collection in the 1Password app, Watchtower will only show results that are relevant to that customer:

• Use collections to create custom groups of vaults

Would that work for your use case? Or would you prefer a search function as you described?

The problem with creating individual collections for each customer will be that we have too many customers and would have to create a collection for each one, and there is also no search function for selecting collections. I would prefer a search function as described.

Thank you for the feedback! I've let the team know that you'd like the ability to search through the item list in Watchtower in 1Password for Windows.

For the time being, if you use 1Password on a mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad, you can use the Find tool there to search through the item list in Watchtower.

I tried it on my mobile device and I still didn't see the search function in the watchtower

Apologies, are you using an iPhone or iPad with the latest version of 1Password 8? Currently only 1Password for iOS includes the Find tool at the top of item lists in Watchtower and you won't see the same option if you're using an Android device.

Thank you for your answer is it planned to implent that feature on windows and android devices?

I can't say whether the feature will be added to other platforms but I've filed an issue to have our team look into that further for future versions. 🙂
