Wavebox was incorrectly reported as out of date

Hi, Tom from Wavebox here.

We've started receiving reports that the 1Password extension is incorrectly indicating Wavebox as outdated with the latest version of Wavebox on Windows.

This means users have to re-enter their password manually rather than using Windows Hello.

This only appears on Windows; macOS still works as expected. Also 1Password still works correctly with the previous version of Wavebox 10.138.14 (Chromium 138.0.7204.158)

  • 1Password Desktop 8.11.6 81106025 (BETA channel)
  • 1Password extension 8.11.4.27
  • Wavebox 10.139.12 (Chromium 139.0.7258.66)
  • Also internally Wavebox 10.139.15, on Chromium 10.139.0.7258.128

Is there anything we, as Wavebox, can do to help with this? Is there any advice we can give to shared users?

Hello @TomWavebox and @megdanov! 👋

Thank you for reporting the issue! I can reproduce the issue here on my end and I've reached out to @TomWavebox via email to investigate this further. I'll update this thread as soon as possible once that investigation is complete.

Edit: No further diagnostics reports are needed.
