Hi community,

Is the web password the same as the app password to log in? I have my app password, email and secret key but web site will not let me log in.

thanks for any help.

Hello @QDreesmann! 👋

I'm sorry that you're unable to sign into 1Password.com. If you're using 1Password 8 then there's only one account password that you'll use to sign into both the 1Password app and 1Password.com.

So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

  1. Are you using 1Password 8 on all of your devices? Or are you using an older version on some devices? You can check using this guide: Find the version numbers for 1Password and your operating system
  2. Do you see a vault named "Primary" on any of your devices in the 1Password app?
  3. Can you double-check that you're using the correct Secret Key using this guide: Find your Secret Key in the 1Password apps

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your reply. I'm still on 1PW 7, version 7.9.11.

I can sign in on my Mac but not on my iPad or iPhone or even on the web. I have my master password and my secret key. I have exported all my vaults in 1PIF format, but can't seem to import these either.

Please help.

Thanks,

Quinten

@QDreesmann

Thanks for the reply. The "Primary" vault isn't part of your account, it's an older style of standalone vault that used to be supported in older versions of 1Password. The "Primary" vault has its own password which may be different from your account password.

I see that our Migration team has received your diagnostics report. Sit tight, one of my colleagues will send you a reply via email soon with instructions on how to get this resolved. Since we have a communications channel open via email, I'll close this community thread.
