Websites opening as a search in DuckDuckGo

Hi,
I use the fill website- parameter with only www. like this 'www.google.com' and not add 'https://' before the rest of the url like 'https://www.google.com'.
So when I press the website link in 1Password on my phone (android), the website opens in my browser with 'http:/www.google.com'. And my web browser doesn't recognize this as a valid url, bause it isn't, so it becomes a search term for my chosen search engine.

This has worked before, so I consider this as a bug!?!

Thank you for that information. The team has been able to reproduce the issue here on our end using DuckDuckGo on Android and a work item has been filed to investigate this further. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello @BarneH! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when opening a website from 1Password on your Android device. The team and I have tried to reproduce the issue by adding www.google.com and google.com but everything is working properly on our end.

So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

  1. What is your default browser? If you change your default browser to Chrome (temporarily) then does the same issue occur?
  2. What version of 1Password are you using: Find the version numbers for 1Password and your operating system

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
My default browser is DuckDuckGo (DDG). I tried to switch default browser to Chrome and as you suspected it worked as expected.

I'm having version 8.10.76 of 1Password on an OnePlus 12 with OxygenOS 15 - build CPH2581_15.0.0.801 (EX01V60P01)

Is this an issue for 1Password or an issue for DDG then?
