What is latest mobile version for iOS?

I'm sorry that you're running into issues with search when using 1Password for iOS. The latest version, which is rolling out today so you might not see it right away, is 8.12.2: How to keep 1Password up to date

Try updating 1Password to the latest version first, if you still see issues then can you tell me if you recognize the "text overwriting other text"? Is that text sensitive/private or are you able to share what it says? Is it a previous search or random? 

And can you tell me if which search field isn't working? The one at the top of the Home screen? Or the top of an item list? Or both?
