What is the procedure to transfer 1P to a new iPhone?

Hi,

I will be purchasing a new iPhone and based on my searches, I believe all that I have to do is setup 1P on my new iPhone, login, and then it will be ready after it syncs.

However, what I'm uncertain about, though, is that in my case, I will be backing up my old iPhone and restoring it onto my new iPhone, so that I retain the setup and apps that I have on my old iPhone.

After the restore onto my new iPhone and when I boot it, what do I need to do to get 1P activated on this new iPhone (and deactivated on the old iPhone)?

Thanks for the question! If you're already using 1Password 8 on your old iPhone then you'll be able to sign into 1Password 8 on the new iPhone and start using 1Password right away with all of your items. Your data is backed up to your 1Password account and will be downloaded to your new iPhone after you sign in.

There's no "activation" process. 1Password 8 will be ready to use on your new iPhone as soon as you sign in to your 1Password account. Regarding your old iPhone, you can remove 1Password from it (after you've verified that you see all of your items in 1Password on your new iPhone), using this guide: How to uninstall 1Password
