What it the world has happened to Secure Notes?

Until about a week or two ago my Secure Notes would display as I entered them, that is with line returns. Now they display with no line returns at all. To see the layout I expect, I must use the EDIT button.

Equally awful, I can no longer mouse click-and-drag over a word or phrase in a SN to copy/paste it elsewhere; I must - again - enable editing to copy content. While this is extra work, it also imparts the danger of a sloppy click-drag movement where some highlighted text is mistakenly dragged elsewhere, or maybe cut instead of copied. That could not happen before when I was copying static text in the read-only display.

This no-line-returns behavior does NOT appear in Secure Notes on my Apple and Android devices, only Windows. It also is not a porblem in the browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox.

My environments, versions, etc.:
1PW desktop app version 8.10.50 for
Windows 10
Windows 11
iPad iOS 18.0.1

1PW desktop app version 8.10.48 for
iPhone iOS 16.7.10
Android 15.1.01.3 (I think)

I do not use Markdown, and all devices are on the same 1PW family account.
So, is this behavior a bug? By design? Able to be controlled by the user?

Hi there @wpfreeman

This is a known issue at the moment, and our Development team are fixing it. There's more information here: https://1password.community/discussion/comment/720404/#Comment_720404

If you have any follow-up questions, please post them in that thread to keep things in one place. :)

@wpfreeman – You're welcome. It looks like that work will be complete in the near future, so hopefully it won't be long before it can be released.
