Is it me and did the integration work as advertised in the past? I'm getting real tired of inputting my 1Password password in the app and in the Librewolf browser extension over and over again. I need a secure browser but this is not working.

Welcome to the community! The 1Password desktop app only communicates with approved browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. LibreWolf isn't a supported browser and desktop app integration has never been available for it.
That being said, our team is planning a feature that will allow you to add unsupported browsers to 1Password for Windows. I'll let the team know that you're eager to see this feature be built and released.
For the time being, the best option would be either to use a supported browser or to adjust your auto-lock settings for 1Password in LibreWolf so that you're prompted for your account password less often if you wish: Manage auto-lock in the 1Password browser extension
