Question

Why do I have to keep logging in everywhere?

On Android, it makes me log in every day or two. On my Chromebook, it makes me log in every time it wakes from sleep.

Just to be clear: I do not use 1Password to keep my passwords secure. I do it for ease of use and ease of access. LastPass did not make me log in all the time, it was simpler, easier, and more convenient.

Why be user hostile and not let me stay logged in? Let me make a choice to stay logged in or not even if it's less secure. Put in warnings, pop ups, alerts, whatever, when I make that choice, but without it, 1Password is inconvenient to the point of being unusable.

Ease of use of and access to what?

From your description it sounds like you have picked the wrong tool for a job, but you give no clue what that job is.

The various 1Password clients have settings for the lock timer and conditions, and account password confirmation timer, all of which can be set to make providing credentials infrequent. You don't mention to what you have these set, nor how that compares to what you would prefer.

You posted this in the Lounge, however this sounds like a matter concerning 1Password at home.

My bad, I didn't realize that other category existed, this looked vaguely like the right one. I'll repost there later with better detail.

Hello @ProfLonghair! 👋

Welcome to the community! As AJCxZ0 mentioned, you can adjust how often you're prompted to unlock 1Password on both your Android device and your Chromebook by following the steps our auto-lock guide:

Let me know if that doesn't help. I've moved your post over to the "1Password at home" category so that it's in the right place.
