Question

This dialog appears on any restart and at other random times. Why? How to fix?

Thank you.

Browser: Safari 17.2.1

@norm

Do you have 1Password for Safari set as a login item? There is no need for it to be set that way. It will cause the behavior you describe.

Right-click on the 1Password for Safari Dock icon, select options, and deselect Open at login.

I've relocated your post to our Mac section. :)

Thanks. It was set for open at login. I deselected.

A non 1PW question: I also noted when deselecting that under Allow in the Background something called SafariSyncClient with the notation that it is an "Item from unidentified developer." If you happen to know if I should delete it, please let me know how. Thank you.

Hey @norm

I can say I recognize that. Apologies. I did find this while searching.

Well.... After the tip seemed to have solved my problem.... The next day, today, Spotlight searches don't seem to work at all.
As a matter of fact, when I do a Spotlight search it opens that very same 1PW for Safari app. Go figure.

Any suggestions? I think somehow the Spotlight settings got munged.

Cancel prior question on Spotlight. I did a Restart and all now "seems" to be working. Sorry.
