Question

Why does the Chrome keyboard shortcut keep reverting/resetting to its original value?

I'm not sure if it's when Chrome Updates or the 1Password Extension but the "Activate the extension" keyboard shortcut keeps getting reset to Cmd+Shift+X. Since I use my browser to edit documents, this conflicts with the "strikethrough" text formatting shortcut so I'm consistently having to reset it. I've tried using a different shortcut as well as removing the shortcut to no avail. Ever since I switched to 1Password 8 and the "new" browser extension this has been happening (so for several months). This happens on all of my Chrome Profiles.

1Password Version: 8.10.7 (81007041)
Extension Version: 2.11.0, 2.12.0
OS Version: macOS 13.4
Browser: Chrome (114.0.5735.133)

Thanks @1P_Dave

I appreciate that this issue is affecting a small number of users and hence it is low priority for you.

Regarding the video: what I had assumed is that the issue is triggered by 1password plugin updates, not Chrome updates. So not sure how to capture this in a video as these plugin updates are automatically as far as I know.

Also, my Chrome browser is managed by my company so I wonder if that may play a role in all of this...

@1P_Dave

Hi.

I just did some additional testing. In my case, it is even worse: after I delete or change the extension shortcut, it gets automatically reinstated just by reloading the page... I tried to change it to a different value (instead of leaving it empty), and the same thing happens: it goes back to the default value instantly after refreshing the page.  Thanks.
