Question

Windows MSI-installed app opens and immediately closes on 8.10.36

Looks like since the update from 8.10.35 to 8.10.36, I can't open the desktop app. Based on the Date Modified for many files in user appdata and Program Files, it hasn't run normally since July 11th, the same day it installed.

We have 1password deployed through Intune by PatchMyPC -- luckily this hasn't been reported by anyone else, but I'd like to find a solution that doesn't involve uninstalling and reinstalling if possible. Something like deleting a certain file in appdata or program files.

Chrome and chromEdge extensions seem to be working fine, except that settings changes are not saved.

I already removed "Local State" "settingsWindowState" "Preferences" "primaryWindowState" from %appdata%\1Password\ and tried relaunching. 1password.exe appears in task manager for less than a second, just a blip.

If there's a quick file delete \ rename fix, that would be ideal, because I can push that as a remediation script to affected computers.

1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: 2.25.1
OS Version: W11 22631.2727
Browser: 126.0.6478.127

Hi @khen8, thanks for reaching out about this! I understand that 1Password is deployed through Intune by PatchMyPC, and after an update, the app no longer opens.
