I’d like to start our final newsletter of 2025 with a little gratitude: thank you for being a 1Password customer, for entrusting us with your company’s most valuable data, and for coming with us for the amazing ride of the past year.

Normally, this would be the time for a little “best-of, year in review” type list, but at 1Password, our focus remains squarely on the future. You’ll see that reflected in this newsletter, which features exciting new updates to EPM and Device Trust, a helpful guide to automating employee onboarding and onboarding, and our new podcast series, made in partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing.

2026 is going to be another busy year for us, and we can’t wait to show you all we’ve got in store. In the meantime, we wish you, your team, and your family a very happy (and secure) holiday season.

The IT manager’s guide to streamlining onboarding & offboarding

This guide helps IT teams identify blind spots in onboarding and offboarding, and shows how automation can streamline every step. Optimize Google Workspace imports in 1Password Device Trust

Admins can now easily choose which users and groups from Google Workspace are imported into 1Password Device Trust. Before, Device Trust automatically brought in every user and group from a connected Workspace, including mailing lists and reporting groups, which made group management and policy targeting harder to filter through.

With the new import settings, admins can:

  • Select specific group types (like Security or Dynamic groups).
  • Exclude mailing lists, reporting groups, or other irrelevant categories.
  • Import only selected groups and their users for a more accurate view of the organization.

These filters optimize how IT and security teams map Device Trust to their Google Workspace environment, making it easier to apply device health Checks and compliance policies to the right users.
