Hello and thanks for reading this month’s newsletter! We’ve got a lot going on this month – from announcing a major expansion of 1Password Device Trust’s capabilities, to releasing a thought-provoking new ebook – but everything you’ll read here is really about our mission to close the Access-Trust Gap.
In the past year, we’ve talked a lot about the Access-Trust Gap, which is what we call the security risks posed by unmanaged identities, devices, applications, and AI-powered tools accessing company data without proper governance controls. This gap, and the inability of traditional security tools to close it, is what inspired the creation of 1Password Extended Access Management. And, as you’ll read in this newsletter, we’ve been making some very big strides lately to address it and solve some of the most urgent issues facing our customers.
Read on to see how!
Why SSO isn't enough for identity security
Single Sign-On is supposed to offer centralized access management, but the reality of widespread SaaS adoption, AI, and unmanaged personal devices has created a flood of access to sensitive data that SSO can’t prevent or protect. This report reveals how SSO falls short and how you can secure the forms of access that SSO leaves behind – because every app matters, every identity counts, and every sign-in must be secure.
Insights from Omdia on how Extended Access Management closes the gaps in security
In this report, Omdia, a global analyst and advisory leader, outlines the challenges of managing access for the modern workforce, due to device sprawl, identity sprawl, and application sprawl. They also highlight the benefits of 1Password Extended Access Management in addressing these challenges and describe five strategies organizations can adopt today. Check out the full report to learn why Omdia believes 1Password is an enabler of business agility, resilience, and compliance.
Product updates & insights
1Password Device Trust: Extended Device Compliance in GA
Extended Device Compliance, our latest innovation for 1Password Device Trust, is now generally available. This capability gives visibility into the apps employees use for work and enforces device posture checks before allowing access - even for applications that are not behind SSO.
Secrets Syncing Integration with AWS
Our new integration with AWS Secrets Manager makes it faster and easier to sync secrets across environments – all from within the 1Password Password Manager desktop app. This enables customers to securely and automatically deliver secrets to AWS without configuring service accounts or complicated cross-platform management, and to reduce secret sprawl.
