As the saying goes, “no man is an island,” and the same goes for security tools. At 1Password, we constantly work not only to improve our own products but to help them integrate more effectively with each other and with all the other tools our customers use. In this newsletter, you’ll read a lot about our work to build secure and effective integrations between 1Password and some of the most important tools in your stack, from Jira to Zscaler. It’s all part of strengthening the chain of security to protect you better.
The security principles guiding 1Password’s approach to AI
1Password’s approach to AI is designed to protect your data first and foremost. Product updates
Streamline compliance with access reviews in Trelica by 1Password
Manual access reviews are time-consuming, error-prone, and lack consistency across apps. Trelica by 1Password replaces spreadsheets with automated, standardized workflows that give IT and security teams the visibility and control they need to stay organized and audit-ready.
With 350+ app integrations, the Trelica API for custom apps, and CSV for supplemental data, Trelica ensures complete coverage of your SaaS ecosystem.
New Jira Service Management integration with Trelica enables seamless and automated access requests directly within Jira
This integration allows employees to request access to applications directly within Jira Service Management, eliminating the need to switch to a separate tool or workflow. Trelica by 1Password then manages the access policies and provisioning rules pre-set by administrators, ensuring employee requests align with compliance and governance needs.
Administrators can make the most of their existing Jira Service Management submission and approval workflows while leveraging Trelica for its policy framework, integrations, and automated access provisioning.
Usability and security improvements for MSPs
Customize and view technician access
Technicians can now be assigned access permissions based on managed companies access required, giving MSPs a clear, unified view of who can access what.
Improved multi-tab auto-lock experience
When a technician is working within multiple managed company tabs and is inactive for an extended period of time, all tabs will synchronously lock for added security. Upon re-authentication, the technician will be brought back to the same managed client and specific page they were working on.
New MSP SIEM integrations
MSPs can now connect 1Password with security information and event management (SIEM) tools Huntress, LevelBlue, Todyl, and Blackpoint Cyber (now in beta). With these integrations, your teams can streamline monitoring and managing 1Password-related account activity across your managed clients.
Customizable email notifications
Admins can customize the recipient list for emails related to confirming new users or account recoveries. This significantly reduces notification noise and allows MSPs to ensure the correct technicians are notified.
New Device Trust and Zscaler integration ensures Zscaler is properly configured
1Password has built a new integration between Zscaler and 1Password Device Trust. Now, to allow all our joint 1Password and Zscaler customers to ensure that critical apps are accessed only from trusted, healthy devices on which Zscaler is properly installed and configured.
The integration allows for automated enforcement of a company’s Zero Trust policies. Through end-user remediation, employees can solve compliance issues without the need to submit an IT ticket. Teams can ensure that devices are secure and compliant while saving valuable time for their IT and security teams on manual and time-consuming tasks.
