Edit item with JSON Input

I'm looking to be able to edit an existing item using a JSON input, similar to how you can pipe JSON into the create command (https://developer.1password.com/docs/cli/reference/management-commands/item#create-an-item-by-piping-json-from-stdin) I want to pipe the JSON of an existing item with updates - is this possible? If not, is there scope for this to be added to the CLI?
