OP CLI: "Couldn't sign in. Check your sign-in details then try again."

Hey folks,

Just new here. Been a 1password user for a few years now.

Recently been trying to setup the op CLI utility but with no luck and I've exhausted all avenues.

Every time I try op signin [url] [email] I just get the following error:
[ERROR] 2022/02/04 09:05:43 Couldn't sign in. Check your sign-in details then try again.

I'm literally copying and pasting the URL, the Secret Key etc. from 1Password so for sure the info is correct.

Anyone face this? Couldn't seem to find any similar hits with the search functionality on the forum.

CLI version: 1.12.3

Any tips appreciated.

Are you still running in to signin problems?

Have you tried op version 2? We've included some changes to the auth process, such as using biometric auth from the 1Password desktop app.

Hey Justin; I haven’t tried with version 2 yet. I gave up trying as I just couldn’t seem to have any luck with v1. Will give it a go; thanks for letting me know!
