op unable to initialise client

Just started a little while ago, but currently unable to use op as either really slow or times out with an error:
[ERROR] 2022/07/05 14:30:43 failed to Unmarshal response into map[string]interface{}: unexpected end of JSON input

using op item get xxxxx --debug doesn't produce any additional output.

Version 2.5.1

Anyone else seeing this?
