1password 7 upgrading to 8
Hi all, hoping it’s as simple as it seems…
I want to try 1password 8. I currently have v7 downloaded from the Mac App Store with browser extensions in brave and Firefox.
Do I simply download v8 from your website. Log in check it’s all there and then delete v7 from my Mac and it will all just work and the browser extensions will communicate with the new v8 install, or is there and extra step I need to take?
Also assume I can go back to v7 if required following the same steps?
1P_PeterG your answer is not working. i have the 1password 8 open (main app), no downward-pointing arrow shows any counts when clicked on. Tried it with "All Accounts v' and 'All Categories v'

- By clicking the downward-pointing arrow at the top-right of your item list
- At the bottom of your list of items

I had 1PW 7 installed, and downloaded Version 8 right now. After install everything is there and working so far.
The only complain I have is, that i cant see the amount of objects beside the tags and categories. It was an option in the old version, and in version 8 it is missing. I would like to see the amount of objects in the all sections. I hope it will be updated in the next 8.1 or so
Apologies. Also assume it won’t cause any issues with my OS app or family members that continue to use v7 on their computers?
