1password 8 running very slow on Mac Air Sequoia 15.5
For about the last month, my 1password 8 has been running very slow on my Mac. Runs fine on my other Apple devices. Any suggestions?

Same problem here. I have followed your instructions and sent the Diagnostics report to Support via email. I received this : "Your support ticket ID is PVY-37222-656". Please I need your help to fix this, or I will have to change provider because right now I am wasting too much time waiting for 1Password... Thank you

Thank you for posting the Support ID, one of my colleagues will reach out to you soon via email as soon as they've finished reviewing your diagnostics report.
While you're waiting, if you're using an Apple Silicon Mac, try reinstalling the 1Password for Mac app to rule out an issue where you might see decreased performance if you're running the Intel version of 1Password on an Apple Silicon Mac: Install 1Password

Thank you... I just did what you recommended and looks like the speed is back. I was reluctant to do it so far because I was not sure where exactly I should download the right version. It looks like there are many users in my case who suddenly faced speed issues, so you should simply share this advice with them. I don't think it's necessary to send the diagnostics report ; most likely we simply all have the wrong version installed.

Hello tomatkins618, chrisbeans, and walter! 👋
I'm sorry that you're seeing performance issues with 1Password. We've received other recent reports from customers who are running into recent performance issues with the 1Password for Mac desktop app and it was found that they were all using the Intel-based version of 1Password on an Apple Silicon Mac.
While our installer will install the correct version of 1Password for your Mac, you might have ended up with the wrong version if you migrated the 1Password app to your current Mac from an older Mac. Using the Intel-based version of 1Password on an Apple Silicon Mac isn't supported and it can result in performance degradation.
Our team can help verify that you're affected by this issue and then help you move over to the correct version. Please create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
Send a diagnostics report (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/1password-8-running-very-slow-on-mac-air-sequoia-15-5/157438

Ah just spotted this.
Performance issues with 1Password for Mac 8.10.78 (desktop app) | 1Password Community
Will check if we've accidentally installed the intel version on Apple silicone - chrisbeansNew Contributor
We're having the same issue on 8x M2 Minis 8GB, all running Sequoia 15.5. The UI is really unresponsive. In some instances it takes 15-30 seconds for clicks/scrolls to happen. The machines in question are only used for light web browsing. We're working around it by using the website. It'd be amazing if this could be fixed!!!!

Very similar problem on MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.5. I notice it is much worse on Ethernet than on WiFi (huh? yes really). Notably sluggish! "about" says

Doesn't indicate whether ARM or Intel, but I never installed 1password anywhere but on this MacBook. There are a number of recent lines in the log that read as so:
ERROR 2025-06-07T21:27:17.125+00:00 ThreadId(1) [client:typescript] Response is of wrong type ("FieldAction" expecting "FieldDragAction"), the app may misbehave.
