1Password Broken on Safari for CRA Website
This problem has been ongoing for some time now. 1Password simply does not work on the Government of Canada CRA website. The environment is: Apple MacBook (M3), MacOS 15.5, Safari Browser. 1Password Safari Extension version is 8.10.81. It works fine with Microsoft Edge on MacOS.
If you navigate to https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/e-services/cra-login-services.html Then select "CRA User Id and Password", you will be shown the login page.
Autofill is not offered. If you click on the User Id field, then hover over the end of the text field you will see the 1Password icon, and the offer to "Open". If you move the mouse over the Open button, the button simply disappears. Clicking on the in-field icon doesn't do anything either. This issue is present regardless of the login state of the Safari plugin (which works on other websites, so it is properly installed).
Thanks,
David
Hello MrKleb! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into an issue when filling your login into CRA's website in Safari. I've just tested here on my end and filling appears to be working. Can you test again to see if you still see the same issue?
If you do then can you try saving a new login item by manually typing in your CRA login information and then right-clicking on the page and choosing 1Password > Save > Login. Then try to fill the new Login item.
Let me know how that goes.

Thank you Dave,
Interestingly, starting from scratch seems to have cured the problem. But I can see nothing in the auto-created 1P login that looks different, except that the website value it recorded had a longer path, but it was still the same host and scheme. So I'm surprised this is working, as my understanding that simply providing a URL which was host only, would cover *all* URLs on that host.
I will mark this as solution and monitor the situation.
Thanks again,David

I'm glad that saving the item again resolved the issue. It's possible that the old item didn't contain some of the webpage's structure, data that helps 1Password to fill login credentials accurately. This might be due to how the old item was saved, or changes made to the website since the item was created.
Let me know if you see the issue return in the future.
