2 years agoAbort password autotype when drag&drop - Support for [ESC] key required
Sometimes an application/website password field disappears (e.g. timeout) wile using drag and drop to enter a password. In this case, I need to cancel the drag&drop. However, I could not find a way to do this. I would expect the [ESC] key to abort the drag and drop and have 1Password reappear. My current solution is to release the drag&drop with the password on an empty space on the taskbar, so it hopefully can't be accidentially exposed. I hate doing this kind of workarround.

I have the same concern and am honestly surprised this isn't implemented or in higher demand, but I suppose people have just lived with it as I have for 2+yrs. I really don't like having a password in the drag-and-drop that's going to be pasted wherever I drop it and no way to 'cancel'...

1Password Team
Hello again @Andreas2,
We appreciate your feedback about a way to of aborting information from a field when attempting a drag and drop. Aside from your solution of releasing the drag on an empty space on the taskbar, there's no other alternative.
I'll pass your feedback along to the Product team regarding your expectations of using
Escto abort and the 1Password window to reappear. Thanks!
