Android autofill in Firefox, a supported browser, always shows "Fill anyway?" prompt

Hi all! 1Password browser autofill on Android Firefox has worked well for me for yearrs, but recently it started showing the "Fill anyway? 1Password can't verify the app or website should have access to your 1Password login." prompt every time I try to autofill.

This discussion describes the same symptom, and the answer was that their browser isn't supported, https://support.1password.com/android-autofill/.

Any ideas? I'm on the most recent versions of everything: 1Password 8.10.68, Firefox version 136.0.2, Android 15 security update 2025-03-05, on a Pixel 7a.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hello folks!

I'm sorry that you're seeing a "Fill Anyway?" prompt from 1Password whenever you fill login credentials in Firefox. This is a known issue that our team is testing a fix for internally and we hope to release the fix to the beta and then to the stable version as soon as possible. You'll see the fix noted in our release notes as soon as it is available:

For the time being, as a temporary workaround, the issue only occurs in certain browsers like Firefox and DuckDuckGo. You should be able to use Brave or Chrome without running into the issue.

I'm having the same problem with Firefox, everything was fine & working until a few days ago. The issue shows up both on my Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Tab S7 with latest updates.

Curious thing is that 1pw does know on which page I am on, as the suggestions are correct to the specific page, it just always brings up this popup when I try to fill.
