Apps that don't work with Autofill
New user, testing out 1Password....I understand that 1Password doesn't support accessibility on Android. This is a challenge because too many apps have terrible logins that don't play well with autofill. What are the options other than copy/paste or split screen for these apps that would normally work with accessibility since that isn't an options? Here are some examples of some notorious apps that stick out. I use Gboard if that makes a difference. This is a bit of a make/break situation for me with 1Password.

@ag_audrey I am new to using 1password. I just found out that 1password used to have a keyboard. I don't understand why the company decided remove it. They should have ensured that the autofill feature was working before removing it. There will always be problematic apps, and the keyboard should never be abandoned.
1password seems to be moving one step forward and two steps back. - Former Member
@ag_audrey I'm well aware of the normal process, but I don't get the prompt so I can't link the app. It works on one of the other password prompts from inside the app, but not all of them.

Hi Brrry, are you referring to the 1Password Keyboard? If so, we introduced 1Password Keyboard before the Autofill framework was available on Android. Today, 1Password 8 is available on all Android devices that support Autofill. This framework enables 1Password to offer filling on login or payment forms securely and efficiently, with a much improved user experience.@ag_audrey
The 1password autofill framework doesn't work most of the time in apps like Tim Hortons, Reddit, Hertz, and many more. The usual suggestion to resolve this issue is to use split screen, but this is not convenient. Instead, I suggest using a keyboard like Grammarly.
The Grammarly Keyboard has a always visible button.
If 1password have same keyboard and if autofill doesn't work. Simply click the button allowing users to easily access matching items and copy and paste. - Former Member
Thanks everyone for contributing to the 1Password Community!
Hey @cfbenbow, Timothy kindly mentioned in an earlier comment:
For 1Password for Android to suggest a login, it must be linked to the website or app in question. Websites are linked via a URL but Android apps require an app link. To add a link you can tap a sign in field in an app or website, tap "Open 1Password", use the search bar to find your item by title then tap "Fill & Update Login"
That being said, can you try linking the ATAK app to the Logins that have the passwords you need?

That's wonderful, GolferWHH! On behalf of our entire team, you're very welcome. I'm so glad you've been set up appropriately with 1Password and find our support helpful! If you decide that you'd like to be billed in $CA and want to https://support.1password.com/regions/#change-your-region, you can email
support+forum@agilebits.com, and we'd be more than happy to help you with the migration.rzzz, thanks for chiming in to help lesster! In regards to the Bank of America app, there is a known issue with filling passwords in that app. 1Password for Android should fill the user ID field but the password field won't be filled, even when manually triggering Autofill. We have an issue open with the development team to investigate if this is something we can resolve from our end. My apologies for any inconvenience here.

Thanks for jumping in rzzz.
1P is selected as the auto fill service, though I don't remember explicitly doing that. I clicked on the preselected radio button, and it asked me to confirm I trusted the app, which I did.
In the BOA app, if I long press on the password field, the word Autofill appears, but clicking on it just hides it. 1P doesn't show up, whether I'm logged into it or not.
Stumped.
I can still use the BOA web site, so it's not a blocker, but the app is handy too, and I really would like to get this working.
Can anyone confirm that 1P autofill actually does work for them in the BOA app on Android?

Anyone have any ideas?

I can't get 1P8 to autofill in the Bank of America app on Android.
It works fine in a browser, including on the BOA site.
I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S10e, Android 12.This https://support.1password.com/android-autofill/ says this:
Tap Autofill to turn it on.
In the list of Autofill services, tap 1Password, then tap OK.
However, I don't see anything like a "list of Autofill services".
Is there something else I have to set up first?
