Browser autofill is not working for CommBank login

Hello,

I would like to see if others are having issues with CommBank too,
I am not able to autofill my login details for commbank.com.au internet banking login when using Firefox (150.0.1) with the 1Password Plugin version 8.12.4.46
I have also tested on Chrome, and the same details will autofill and login for me without any issue.
So I assume it's an issue with the firefox plugin.

Also, when in Firefox (150.0.1) I can see 1Password offer the login as it's there in the drop down list. When I click on the item in the drop down list, it does nothing.

I have also tried deleting my cache and that has not helped.

Is anyone else having issues with CommBank?

Thanks
Josh

    Hi 1P_Gem,

Thanks for the details, fingers crossed 1Password can put some more pressure on Mozilla, as they are nearly 3 months behind now.

I don't like living life on the edge, as I have been burnt too many times over the last few decades testing and running beta software for many vendors.

I would prefer to stay on the release version.

Is there any way I could get a link to the release version so I can download it directly?

    Thanks
    Josh

Hi starkjs, thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately there's no direct download link we're able to provide for the release version. As you'd prefer not to use the Beta, your best option for now is to stay on your current version and wait for the update to come through.

I understand that this is far from ideal, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused. Our team will continue working with Mozilla to get these updates through the review process.

    Hi 1P_Gem

Thanks for the info, glad to hear it's on the way to being fixed.

I have just installed the beta (version 8.12.12.43) and tested.
Looks like it's all working !

I will revert back to the release channel and will wait for the fix to be delivered.

I have just checked and the Firefox store only has 8.12.4.46 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/1password-x-password-manager/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search

That looks really old compared to: https://releases.1password.com/b5x/stable/

Not sure why the plugins have not been updated there..... is there no update for Firefox plugin with version:

    • 8.12.6
    • 8.12.8
    • 8.12.10
    • 8.12.12

    What's going on ???

    Thanks
    Josh

Hi starkjs, I'm glad to hear that it worked on the Beta version - thanks for confirming!

Generally, we aim to keep updates consistent across operating systems and browsers, though this isn't always possible. Each app store has its own review process, and Firefox's can be particularly thorough, which sometimes means updates take longer to come through. Our team works closely with Mozilla to push updates through as quickly as possible, but occasionally there are delays outside of our control.

With this in mind, if you'd like access to the latest features and fixes without waiting for Firefox to process the update, you might like to consider continuing to use the Beta version which is self-hosted and so is not subject to the same store review timelines:

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Hi starkjs, thanks for reaching out.

I can confirm that this is a known issue at the moment. A fix is already available in the latest beta version of the Firefox extension, and this fix should make its way to the stable release soon.

In the meantime, I’d recommend keeping both Firefox and the 1Password extension up to date so you receive the fix as soon as it's released.

If you'd prefer not to wait for the fix to reach the stable version, and would like to try the beta version ahead of time, you can do so by following the steps here: Use 1Password beta or nightly releases
