4 years agoCan No Longer Access 1Password from Apple TV Remote Keyboard on iOS
When provided with a text prompt on Apple TV (e.g. to email or password to link an Apple TV app), your iPhone can prompt you with a keyboard to more easily enter the text. Previously, this worked very smoothly with 1Password--you would get the "🔑 Passwords" option above the iOS keyboard, Face ID would unlock 1Password and you'd be able to easily select a password from the vault to autofill.
Recently, either with iOS 15 or a recent 1Password update, this process no longer works. Once you select the "🔑 Passwords" option above the keyboard, 1Password just gets to a blank screen with no Face ID--you're just stuck with no way to unlock your vault--not even an option to enter the vault password. It looks like the image attached--no Face ID prompt ever appears and the only option you're left with is "Cancel".
Otherwise, 1Password works fine within the browser in the same fashion--clicking "🔑 Passwords" above the keyboard opens the vault with the Face ID prompt. This only seems to occur within the Apple TV remote functionality with iOS (despite working previously).
