Default vault feature gone in version 8?

Excellent point, apologies for any confusion. I should clarify that even when Integrate with 1Password app is turned on, generating a new password in your browser with 1Password will give you the option the save a new item and that item will use the default vault selected in your settings. Here's an example:

I do see your point about the disconnect between this setting and the + New Item button opening the app and reverting to its current behaviour. I'll share this with the team to see what they think. Thanks for pointing it out.
