Hello! Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear that it caused disruptions to your 1Password experience.

Just to make sure that I am understanding correctly, when you say the following, "It should be disabled by default" are you saying that it was enabled automatically by default or that you enabled it manually weeks ago and didn't notice that it remained on? It should definitely be disabled by default unless you explicitly enable it yourself.

Having said that, I do think that accidentally having Anti-Peek Mode on could happen to users in the future and lead users to think that 1Password is not working correctly. Having some clearer indication to users that Anti-Peek mode is activated in addition to having more flexibility in terms of how to turn it on/off would improve this feature greatly. Again, thanks for trying the feature out!

Hi 1P_justin​,

Yes, I turned it on via the Lab-Settings and forget about it. Since then, 1p went worse in terms of Usability, and it felt like a big bug no one is to care about. I agree that this could affect other people as well in the future. This feature is –for me – a clear indicator that this should not be implemented via a settings page, it should be accessible with a toggle button at all time. Allow me to explain it:

Regularly I use 1p in a secure place, there is no one next to more to spy information. But in some situations I want to be certain, that no one could see this. I'm thinking about a ride in the train. An easy-to-use toggle button is then faster than going into the settings and then turning if off again after I'm leaving the train. That is what I mean with "it should be disabled by default".
