how to eliminate Start Here 3 steps left

Recently, when I open the 1Password Chrome extension I see a message in the lower left that is Start here 3 steps left. They are add extension, import passwords and practice basics. I've been a 1password user for over a year and do not need to perform these steps. I'm not sure why this message started though I had to perform a number of steps to help Family get started but that was also a number of months ago.

How to I delete this message?
Thanks

    Hello. 1P_Evon

I'm also looking for an update on this. I've had two 1password business accounts that I administer for a few years now. I wanted to help my elderly mother with better technical hygiene and so I started a family plan.

That family plan continues to notify me about these remaining steps which I have no interest in performing.

On one of my business accounts years ago, I've caught 1password updating my Microsoft master tenant password with one of my employees user passwords who had access to my 'IT' vault. Thankfully I caught it quickly and reverted that error but I immediately lost faith in the ability of your browser extension to accurately identify and update the correct accounts. Subsequently, I have no desire to and will never install your browser extension.

You are also asking me to pin 1password to my browser. Why am I required to pin 1password to by browser when I use your Win11 local application?

I was somehow able to check off 'import your passwords' but the reality is that I'm grooming my old passwords and manually loading them into your application as I filter, update and remove old accounts. It's as if your team never conceived that a user may want to manually enter passwords and your system doesn't seem to offer a way to disable these remaining steps which don't apply to my needs or situation.

As paulfarrycompare posted recently, this issue seems to now have been open for well over a year with zero resolution? I'm still in my family plan trial phase and would like to know your roadmap to resolve this before I commit to your annual subscription.

Many thanks your time and input.

Ever and ever these things reappear: users are forced into something without need and distinction.

Same here. Just want to echo the sentiment. I spent about an hour this morning with my elderly mum to explain this new behaviour and find a workaround so that she doesn't have to be confronted by the same message every time. Existing clients should not have to import passwords from another place - we're already using 1Password!

Just want to 2nd the OP's request. Having a way to simply bypass and get rid of the "Start here N steps left" (and ideally prevent it from showing up again) in the browser plugin menu would be nice, as a previous user of 1Password for years, all of the steps it outlines have either already been completed and/or are redundant. Thanks for the update 1P_Evon !

Hello, astandre, fishdry. Thank you for reaching out.

I apologize for any disruption this may cause to your workflow. The development team is working to improve this behaviour. Although I can't provide a specific timeline for when a fix will be available, I recommend keeping 1Password updated to benefit from all fixes and enhancements as soon as they are released.

It would also be nice not to have to do this on every installation.
