Is there still no way to change Safari shortcut from command-shift-x?

I see other posts in the past discussing an inability to modify this shortcut, and the fact that it conflicts with the Google Docs shortcut for strikethrough, as well as discussion about how 1Password's browser shortcut in Safari may be customizable in the future as it is on other browsers, but it seems like that's still not the case. Can anyone confirm? Can any with 1Password speak to why it's taking so long to provide this customization option?

1Password Version: 8.10.28
Extension Version: 2.22.1
OS Version: macOS 14.3.1
Browser: Safari

  • Hello theloniousjoe! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. If you're using a Chromium browser then you can change a default shortcut by visiting chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Safari doesn't currently offer the ability to change an extension's shortcuts and our team has raised this limitation with Apple but I don't have any updates to share at the moment.

I'm sorry that I don't have better news to share.
