keitht1958 Sounds like you're trying to login to your Hotmail/Microsoft account using an "App password". This won't work, you need to use your Hotmail/Microsoft account password.

There's no point saving the App password in 1Password. It is a fixed password used by email programs that don't support 2FA. It does not give 1Password the information it needs to generate the 6 digit one time passcodes.

For you to be able to use 1Password to login to Hotmail/Microsoft you need to ensure that:

1. 1Password has your Microsft/Hotmail account username and password: do you have these saved as a login item in 1Password?
2. You need to disable passwordless mode on your Microsoft/Hotmail account: check this setting at https://account.live.com/proofs/manage/additional
