Still having Android Chrome issues
I'm on 8.11.6 and saw the post earlier this month around the major update to Android+Chrome autofill. I went through all of the settings in the post and it did work for a day or so but it's still broken. I changed to showing the autofill beneath the field and it does show the candidates, but when I tap on a candidate it just goes away and nothing is entered in the text field. I tried disabling autofill and re-enabling using the settings in the post but it doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm happy to provide logs, screenshots, etc to help triage this.
Thanks, Derek

I'm sorry that you're running into the same issue. It sounds like you're running into a known issue that our team has reported to the Chromium team, so that I can confirm this can you tell me the following:
- Does autofill start working again (at least temporarily) after you force close your browser and then re-open it again: Find, open & close apps on Android - Android Help
- Does the issue occur in the main Chrome browser? Or in an in-app browser opened by another app?
- If you try using a non-Chromium browser like Firefox then do you see the same issue there?
I look forward to hearing from you.-Dave

Same problem here and it's very frustrating. I heard there was a chrome-related fix released to Canary not too long ago, does anyone know if that fixes some or many or all of the issues and if it's reached the dev or beta releases yet?

I’m sorry that you’re running into an issue where 1Password doesn’t fill your login credentials in Chrome when you tap on the autofill suggestion. Our development team is currently investigating similar reports of this behavior and believes that it may be due to an issue with how the browser keeps track of autofill sessions when it’s been running for an extended period of time. We’ve reported the issue to the Chromium team.
So that I can confirm that you’re running into this issue can you tell me if autofill starts working again after you force close your browser and then re-open it again: Find, open & close apps on Android - Android Help

Yes, force closing and reopening gets it to work again. That's an easier workaround for me than going into Settings and toggling between Google autofill (with restart) and 3rd party autofill (another restart).
Sorry for the delay in response.- 1P_Timothy

Hi kuoirad, thanks for confirming that. From what we've seen, that would be in line with with the issue under investigation. We don't want anyone to depend on a workaround, but I'm glad to hear that option helps for the time being. Thanks again for your input on this.

I tried a force stop and autofill worked after that. If it stops working again I can try the force stop again and report back here. Is there any other info I can gather for you?
Thanks,
Derek

I have similar issues - when this happens, if I toggle between "with Google" and "using another service" in Chrome's settings (under Autofill services), it works again for at least one autofill. But I have to do this way too much.
