System locale is ignored when formatting dates

The issue has been reported multiple times already and was marked as resolved in 8.10.80, but it is in fact still relevant for me in 8.12.10 – dates are always displayed in `mm/dd/yyyy` format ignoring the current system one `dd-mm-yyyy`:

Example:

System settings:

App version:

macOS

26.4.1 (25E253)

    Hi Dave,

The preferred language is set to English (US), but the date format should be determined by the dedicated locale settings, and as I stated in the first message, it is currently set to `dd-mm-yyyy`.

There is no "English International" or similar available in macOS:

Thank you for looking into this, the issue is super annoying and could lead to real problems when working with documents.

  • Hello igro! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. The 1Password for Mac desktop app sets the date format according to your current preferred language for macOS. Can you share what language is set as the preferred language here:

    1. Click on the Apple logo  in the menu bar, then click System Settings.
    2. Click General, then click Language & region

What preferred language is set on this screen?
