Titan Security Key not functioning on MacOS app (known issue for 2 years and still not fixed)

I've recently bought three Google Titan Security Keys and successfully connected them to my three 1Password accounts via the Chrome browser on the latest version available. These keys are advertised by 1Password to be compatible with the software. Logging in with them on the browser side works fine, but when trying to log in with them on the Mac app, the key does not get prompted, the LED stays off, and even if I touch the key, nothing happens.

I have already tried:
1. Setting up the Titan key in the Chrome browser instead of the Comet browser.
2. Restarting all the apps, browsers, and browser extensions.
3. Removing the Titan keys and re-adding them.
4. Completely uninstalling and reinstalling the 1Password app following every step listed in the uninstalling 1Password help article.
But still, the problem persists.

This issue has been brought up on multiple occasions in the community forums over the last two years, and still no fix seems to have been pushed for this issue. See the below table for a summary of other threads describing the same issue. 

It's absolutely unacceptable that this issue has been known for two years and still there has not been any attempt to fix it. This seems to be a very simple issue for a feature you are outwardly advertising as being supported just not working and making your whole product unusable. Please present me with a fixed ASAP or I'm ready to cancel my 1Password subscription and switch to a different provider because this is just not acceptable at all.

Titan security key doesn’t work with the 1Password for Mac desktop app (but works …) — the user adds a Google Titan security key, but the Mac app doesn’t accept it while other platforms do.
