Free 1Password Families accounts with 1Password Business

While you use 1Password Business account to access credentials you need to do your job and to keep your work-related secrets safe, we know that there are credentials in your personal life that need protecting as well. That's why, as a 1Password Team Member on a 1Password Business account, you can redeem a free 1Password Families account so you can stay as safe at home as you are at work.

 Q: Can my company access my 1Password family account?

Your linked Family account belongs solely to you, not your company, and your information is even kept private from the team at 1Password. Admins on your company's 1Password Business will only be able to see if you have redeemed the free family membership offering.

 Q: What happens if I leave my current company?

When you depart from your current company, your 1Password Business account will be suspended. This will unlink your 1Password Family account which will remain active for 14 days. You'll receive an email letting you know that during these 14 days you'll be able to either add your own payment method to continue actively using this Family account, or you can export your data if you chose. Even after the 14 day period, when your Family account enters a frozen state, you'll still always have read-only access and your data will remain safe.

Q: What if I already have a personal 1Password account?

You can link an existing 1Password account to use it for free when you're part of your company's 1Password Business account!

Q: If I need help with my Families 1Password account, where should I go?

Q: Will I get a refund if I have already paid for a Families account when connecting it to a business account?

By default a prorated credit will be applied to the your 1Password Families account when you link it to your Business account.
