Question

Google violating trademark, calling new product 1Password?

Google has announced a new product they call 1Password: https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2026/09/introducing-new-1password-app-for-Google-Chat.html

If you search the Chrome store for “1Password”, you’ll now also see this: https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/1password_saas_manager/351269263993

I’m wondering whether this is a trademark violation?

Hi @azurepebble, thanks for flagging this.

The integration described by Google here is in fact our own. In addition to password management, 1Password has a number of other products aimed at business use including 1Password SaaS manager. What’s specifically mentioned in the blog you shared is our recent integration between 1Password SaaS manager and Google Chat. This enables IT and other teams using Google Workspace features to build automated workflows with 1Password and Google Chat.

Thanks again for reaching out about this. While there was no issue here, I appreciate you concern!

Ah ok, thanks!

Maybe ask Google to link to https://1password.com/product/saas-manager in their announcement, both to avoid confusion like mine, and to promote 1P?
