Why did my user name change?

I was known as MerryBit in the old forums and also when I was a beta tester for this new community.

Why did it change to MerryBit1 when the new forum went live, and can I change it back somehow?

Ok, all done!

I have removed the old MerryBit and now you only have @MerryBit

Hi @MerryBit - Good to see you in the community! 

When we migrated users from the previous community we used email addresses to match users who we already in the new community from the beta. 

You have a different email address associated with each account, which is why we ran into this issue. 

Technically both accounts exist! Former Member is active also. 

You can choose to keep the account from the previous community or keep the account from the beta. 

We can then make sure you have Merrybit as your sole username. Let me know!

Thanks for clearing that up for me! I'm signed in as MerryBit now, and you can go ahead and remove the @MerryBit account, if you like. Or keep it, I don't care. But this will be my primary account going forward.

Thanks for clarifying! Before i get rid of @MerryBit, this does have 79 posts associated to it, and shows your membership since 2019.

If you wanted to keep that history, we could delete Former Member and then change the username of @MerryBit to Former Member ? 

Let me know! Just don't want you to lose anything if you don't want to.
