1Password in the browser 8.12.20

These release notes are syndicated from releases.1password.com.Creating a new item in the 1Password browser extension now opens a pop-up window instead of opening the full 1Password app window. You’ll see a migration banner in the extension if your account is being moved out of a family account into your own. The banner will guide you to sign in on 1Password.com to complete the process, including helpful links to continue or learn more. Passkey filling and passkey saving are now separate settings, so administrators can enforce each one independently. We’ve improved localization for a number of our supported languages. If you’d like to suggest a localization improvement, contact 1Password Support. We’ve fixed an issue where you weren’t prompted to update a saved login after you changed your username on a site but kept the same password. We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password could lock unexpectedly after you switched tabs. We’ve fixed an issue where the 1Password icon could disappear in the Safari extension settings. We’ve fixed issues with autosubmit on kotsovolos.gr, bafa.de, patrimar.com.br, and direct-assurance.fr. We’ve fixed an issue where usernames wouldn’t autofill on accountview.lpl.com. We’ve fixed an issue where the the 1Password in Safari could show an endless loading state when it couldn’t connect to the desktop app. We’ve fixed and issue with one-time passwords on zenlayer.com where autosubmit could open an extra tab. We’ve fixed login detection on my.healthequity.com so your login items show as expected. We’ve fixed login suggestions on pizzahut.ca. We’ve fixed an issue where unlocking another account in the desktop app didn’t unlock that same account in the extension when both were connected. We’ve fixed an issue with autofill where Identity items could be suggested in Swedish-language search fields on some sites.

We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password could crash when you chose Edit Item from a two-factor authentication Watchtower notification.

We now show the sign-in banner when you’re on the Google account selector page. When a matching Google account can’t be selected automatically, 1Password now chooses Use another account in the sign-in banner so autofill can complete the flow. We’ve improved localization for a number of our supported languages. If you’d like to suggest a localization improvement, contact 1Password Support. We’ve fixed an issue where 1Password could get stuck in a loop of repeatedly unlocking in Safari. We now correctly show the “Save in 1Password” notification for API tokens on digitalocean.com. We now correctly show the “Save in 1Password” notification for API tokens on github.com. We now correctly detect GitHub redirect URLs in the “Sign in with” flow. We’ve improved Google account selection when filling from the sign-in banner. We’ve fixed an issue where the “Something went wrong” notification wasn’t visible when the extension pop-up failed to load correctly. We no longer show the sign-in banner for fields that have been previously filled by 1Password. The sign-in banner now completes fills automatically when fields appear on the page. The sign-in banner no longer repeatedly clicks the Use another account button when navigating back to the Google account selector.
