Feature Request: SimpleLogin Integration

The Masked Email feature is a great idea but the downside is it’s limited to Fastmail. It would be great to have SimpleLogin integration so non-Fastmail users could take advantage of Masked Email.

Any update on this @1P_Dave @1P_Tommy @1p

Why don't new comments bump this thread to the first page anymore? It seems like it's been archived or something?

Thank you everyone, I've shared your requests and interest in an integration with SimpleLogin with our product team. While I don't have any news to share at the moment, the team will continue to consider the development of this feature for inclusion in our future product roadmaps. 🙂

I wanted to add my +1 for this.

I heard that SimpleLogin is not coming because it would be too much of a hassle. Is that true?

@vealpool

Thanks for the ping! The team will continue to consider adding an integration with other masked email providers like SimpleLogin in the future however there isn't any news to announce in the short term.

Thanks Dave, I would like to move away from iCloud Hide My Mail to an integration in 1Password with anything other than a Big Tech solution: addy.io, simplelogin,... take your pick. Fastmail is nice, but I'm not prepared to open (and pay for) yet another mailbox just for having Masked Mail features. It's surprising to me that this isn't a ubiquitous feature in Password Managers in general, given all the spam and scams taking place on a daily basis based on e-mail. I understand it's a more advanced feature, tailored to more advanced users and therefor investing in it perhaps less attractive? I can go back 5 years in this forum to see initial requests for this feature... but, to date there is no formal stance or outlook on this topic from 1Password. I've been a Family subscriber for almost 10 years and would love to see this feature integrated. I can get rid of many solutions, Apple included - it's happening -, but 1Password has a special spot in my heart because it's been rock solid all these years. I actually enjoy paying for this service, because it is so good. However, others are adopting it, such as Bitwarden. As such, a gentle nudge from me to hopefully induce more awareness of the necessity for privacy on top of security and get this show on the road. ;) Thanks for your consideration.

ProtonPass supports it. There I said it. Proton probably doesn't allow it to be integrated with 1Password. It is unfortunate. Also ProtonPass is included with my current bundle and I have somewhat mixed feelings. I've been loyal for many years and 1Password has been a great tool and service that me and my family use on a daily basis. So is ProtonMail and since it is bundling this feature now, I dunno how much longer i can allow this inconvenience to continue. I've wanted this integration for ages and it hasn't happend.

Can I remind anyone interested in this feature to like the original post of this Feature Request ?

It only has 22 likes right now, despite 7K views and 178 messages. Let's give it some love ^^

On the other hand, I cannot understand how it is possible that the 2 most liked feature requests still haven't been addressed by now. Some of the 1300 employees could surely take a look at this...

Regards.

The features we implement, and the timing of their release, depend on several factors, such as our existing product roadmap, planned enhancements, urgent bug fixes that may take priority over new requests, the availability of development resources, and input from customers.

We collect feature requests from multiple sources, including email support, community discussions, and other feedback channels. Features aren’t developed based solely on the number of requests, and we don’t want to give the impression that “likes” are the only factor in our decision-making. Because of this, the number of “likes” on a post isn’t always a true reflection of how often a feature is being requested overall or that it might be prioritised over other work on our roadmap.

All feedback is carefully reviewed and prioritised, and our team works to deliver new features and improvements as quickly as possible. Please keep the feedback coming! 🙂

This have been in this status for quite a while. Could you please share some sort of concrete update on the status on this?

created an account here just to bump this. this feature is available in bitwarden, I cannot see a reason this could not be added to 1pass (especially since it costs more, even after BW's recent price increase).

With companies getting hacked more and more these days and their databases stolen, it's that much more important that we insulate ourselves as much as possible. having unique aliases for each website instead of using your main email account significantly improves privacy and makes cross site exploitation far less feasible. Since AI is now finding 0day exploits things aren't getting any better. Having an api integration with services like simplelogin is a no brainer.

Be one step ahead, or one step behind. What's the call 1pass?

Have to agree. This has been "discussed" for about as long as I have been a customer. The time has come @1P_Dave @1P_Gem @1P_Phil to either stop stringing us along and say "not going to happen under current circumstances" if there is an official "no" out there from simplelogin/proton, say "not currently possible but working towards" (if you are negotiating with proton/simplelogin - and there is actual conversation going on still), or "not actively in development without a firm plan to add it" if you do not see it as a priority.  I respect companies more that share the truth - users understand that you have competing priorities, restrictions from other parties, etc. We also know you do care about feedback and features, but messages like this are basically insulting our intelligence and relationship with 1password and desire to give comments/feedback/request/suggestions.
