Fingerprint Unlock not working on Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

After changing phones, and reinstalling 1Password, the fingerprint Unlock does not work. Right after setting it up, when 1st opening the app it asks for the fingerprint and returns a message stating it didn't work as expected. From there on it always asks for the password. This happens to any authentication method chosen. 

On top of that it eventually asks for my 2FA token randomly and not frequently (maybe 1 to 2 times a month) 

I had 2 Motorolas before and didn't experience that problem.

Hi @dbarreto,

This is an issue our development team is actively investigating that seems to be limited to the Motorola Edge and RAZR series. Can you confirm you have the latest system software on your phone while you're experiencing this?

Hi Simon, 

Yes I have the latest software with all pertaining updates installed for both 1Password and Android. 

Is there any ETA on a fix?

Can confirm I have the exact same issue. Started specifically when I changed over to Motorola Edge 50 pro.

I've fully updated android. And I installed 1password fresh from the app store.

1password shows the biometrics option in settings -> security. But when unlocking the app I never get the biometrics option.

I do see a "that didn't work" message below the password field to unlock 1password. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry that you're running into issues with biometric unlock on your Motorola devices. It sounds like you're running into a known issue, see this thread.
