Helium browser extension not connecting to Mac 1Password app
I’m using Helium (Version 0.17.1.1 (Official Build, Chromium 153.0.8010.47) (arm64)) on Mac OS 27 Golden Gate. I have 1Password for Mac 8.12.36 (81236040, on PRODUCTION channel) and the browser extension “8.12.37.1” (81237001, on STABLE channel).
I have to enter my 1Password account password to unlock the browser extension constantly even though the 1Password desktop app is unlocked. I checked the 1Password browser extension’s General > “Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app” and it is set to true/on. I have toggled it off, quit the browser fully and quit 1Password desktop app fully, and then restarted 1Password desktop app and then the browser, re-enabled the “Integrate this extension...” toggle but it still shows the connection problem.
I have also verified the Helium is selected in the 1Password desktop app Settings > Browser > “Connect to additional browsers” section. I even removed it, quit 1Password, quit Helium, relaunched 1Password, added Helium to that setting, opened Helium, re-enabled the “Integrate this extension...” option.
I also verified the menu bar option for 1Password is enabled in System Settings.
Everything seems up to date and I think the config is correct. Any ideas?
