How are you adding wifi networks to your vault? Which item are we expected to use?

I’ve been using 1PW for a couple of years and really like it. One item I am slightly confused about is wifi networks.

I have a bunch of wifi network SSID/PW credentials for various places I visit, and I like to save them in 1PW. They’re obviously saved in my devices most of the time, but that’s not always convenient for sharing with others, or for cases where you have a new device you need to connect.

To that end, how come there isn’t a dedicated “wifi” item type?

I mean I can repurpose a simple login or password item, but those specify a username and password field which the labels can’t be changed on, when what I really want is an item that specifies SSID/Network Name and Password fields, and obviously notes/location etc.

Just wondering what other people are doing, and what the expected behaviour is?

While Wireless Router is unnecessarily specific for the item type and some of the default fields are a bitarbitrary, this is the item for your SSN, authentication method, credentials, etc.Wi-Fi® is a registered trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance, which is probably why you don’t see it as often as you might expect. Alas, “Wireless” is far to broad to describe just these wireless networking protocols.
